Tariq began his studies in management, but soon enough he took another path. His curiosity and love to problem solving lead him to the world of technology. He started in network and system administration, then he was introduced to Linux and the Open Source world. He finished his studies with a master’s degree in Big Data and cloud Computing.
Tariq is a Big Data consultant with a focus on infrastructure. He planned, sized, installed Hadoop and DevOps platforms. He has experience with Cloudera CDH, Hortonworks HDP, HDF, and Kubernetes platforms. It also masters the infrastructure aspects including: networks, DNS, NTP, Firewall, storage, Kerberos, OpenLDAP, FreeIPA, and integration with Active Directory. He has deployed, secured and operated highly available and multi-tenant Big Data clusters. He was also responsible for monitoring and evaluating projects related to the use of Big Data and DevOps technologies. He is passionate about any technology that serves a purpose and has an impact on our lives.
